ADVOCACY
- Provide intake and schedule all appointment requests from DHS or Law Enforcement
- Reduce trauma through the development of positive rapport with the alleged child victim and their non-offending family members or caregivers who seek services at the Safe Center.
- Provide emotional support and information to child victims and their non-offending family members or caregivers when forensic interviews and exams are scheduled.
- Provide education about the assessment process; assist with completing Safe Center forms including Crime Victims Compensation
- Assess the family/caregivers for domestic violence and refer to appropriate resources if requested.
- Provide support and assistance in meeting treatment recommendations and needed services identified through the assessment process, as appropriate.
