The Union County Commissioners have stated that they will not proceed with any action on the proposed Mt. Emily Recreation Area without a clear mandate from county residents.  A questionnaire will be passed out at the January, 29th public meeting asking whether you support public acquisition of the Mt. Emily property, and which acquisition option you prefer the county pursue.  The feedback at the public meeting and the questionnaire results will most likely determine the fate of the proposed recreation area.  It is extremely important that a large number of questionnaires showing support for public acquisition be received. For those unable to attend the public meeting, or those wishing more time to consider their response, a copy of the questionnaire can be downloaded from this page.
