On Tuesday, January 29th, the Mt. Emily Recreation Coalition and Union County held a public information meeting discussing the recently negotiated opportunity to pursue purchasing
the proposed Mt. Emily Recreation area, with roughly 350 interested members of the public attending, a standing room only crowd.
Representatives from the Mt. Emily Recreation Coalition, Union County and Forest Capital Partners presented details about the purchase opportunities
and answered questions asked by the attendees.

Public Meeting Questionnaire Results
A questionnaire and comment form was passed out at the Jan. 29th meeting.
All 406 received questionnaires have been tabulated as of Tuesday, February 19th.
Public acquisition of MERA was favored by 368 and opposed by 34, a better than 10 to 1 ratio in favor.
The response summary and all filled-in questionnaires delivered to Union County officials on Feb. 19th.
