Here you can find out about and join email lists that connect you with infomation and other Mt. Emily Recreation Area supporters. Think there is a need for some other email list? Just let us know about it, and we'll see what we can do.
This list is for those who would like to receive announcements, broadcast by coalition organizers, to all those with an interest in the Mt Emily Recreation Area. Typical announcements might be of public meetings, notification of letter writing campaigns, significant new developments, etc. You can expect to get a relatively small number of highly relevant fewer messages as a member of this list. This is a one way communication channel, from the coalition to you. If you need to get a message the coalition organizers, contact them using their personal contact information.
This list is for those who are interested in connecting, networking and brainstorming with other Mt. Emily Recreation Area supporters. This list is a two-way communication channel. Anyone on the list can send a message to the list email address, and the message will be received by all other members of the list. Consequently, good email list etiquette calls for only sending messages that you are reasonably sure a significant portion of list members will be interested in. It is considered bad etiquette for people to use the list to send personal messages to each other; sort of like being in a restaurant and talking in a loud voice about intimate matters. Be prepared to get a lot of messages from this list from time to time. How many depends on how the members actually use it, but we're hoping it is an actively used, and useful, resource.
