Mt Emily is a beloved area for the citizens of Union county.  It would be a tragic loss to the community if this were not kept open to the public.  For this to happen, it must be sold at a price that the community can afford to pay and at a time when they have amassed the resources to purchase it.  This is not just one more business deal, one more transfer of a property deed from one hand to another.  Mt Emily is a source of beauty, solace, renewal and recreation for the people who live near her.  Many people have been working very hard to make the dream of an Mt Emily Recreation Area a reality.  Please work with them.  Please use your influence to keep this jewel (see attachment) of the Grande Ronde Valley available for all to enjoy.
